Snow Removal Equipment Operator (Seasonal)

As a Snow Removal Equipment Operator, you may operate a variety of heavy equipment, including, but not limited to, snowplows and salt trucks, skid steers, front-end loaders, snow rators, and tractors, among other wheel loader equipment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• •Remove snow safely and efficiently from commercial properties, including but not limited to multi-family locations, parking lots, and the exteriors of high-traffic facilities using skid steer, wheel loader, front-end loader, snow rator, tractor, or using plow blade attachments
• •Operate heavy equipment to clear roadways, loading areas, docks, parking lots, among others in winter conditions including snow, snow/rain mix, extreme weather, and temperatures
• •Remove snow to create a safe pathway for the public, pedestrians, and traffic
• •Report to branch or assigned location within the time frame given
• •Be on call during the winter months for all snow and ice events
• •May assist during a snow and ice event by operating other snow or salt spreading equipment
• •Ensure work is being conducted in a safe manner, and maintain work areas safe for the employee, the customer, the public and the environment.
• •Performs at a high and safe level of productivity

Requirements

• •At least 1 year of experience
• •Pass a pre-employment drug screen
• •Pass a driver's background check
• •Able to work outdoors in different weather conditions
• •Able to be on call 24/7 during winter months
• •Able to handle the physical demands of the position
• •Be punctual and reliable
• •Trainable, coachable, and able to grasp new concepts quickly
