the posting

If you live and breathe social media, understand what makes content perform, and can teach others how to do it well, we need to talk.

We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and highly skilled Social Media Strategist to lead social media strategy and creative direction across multiple client accounts.

This is a skilled lead role. You won’t just oversee the work, you need to know how to do it at a high level and be able to teach others how to do it, too. You should bring strong experience in social media strategy, paid social, graphic design, video editing, and content creation.

You should understand not only what to create, but why it works for a specific platform, audience, and goal.

You are not just managing social media, you are setting the standard and helping your team become better marketers.

What You’ll Do

Develop and lead social media strategies across multiple client accounts

Build platform-specific strategies based on client goals, audiences, and brands

Lead organic and paid social media strategy, including campaign setup, targeting, testing, optimization, and performance

Develop creative content ideas and campaigns designed to drive engagement and growth

Provide creative direction for graphics, video, Reels, and other social-first content

Use your design and video editing skills to evaluate work and improve creative quality

Analyze performance and use data to adjust strategy and improve results

Oversee content calendars and ensure the team stays ahead of schedule

Lead client conversations related to social media strategy, content, and performance

Coach and develop Social Media Content Creators

Provide hands-on training in strategy, paid social, design, video editing, and content creation

Review work and provide clear, actionable feedback that helps the team improve

Stay ahead of platform updates, trends, algorithms, and emerging content formats

How You’ll Show Up in This Role

Lead from expertise, not just authority

Be willing and able to jump into the work when needed

Bring strong creative vision and strategic thinking

Teach the why behind decisions, not just what needs to change

Give constructive feedback and help others improve their skills

Balance creativity with data and performance

Take ownership and make decisions without waiting for direction

Stay curious and continuously bring new ideas and knowledge to the team

Communicate confidently with clients and internal teams

Maintain high standards for quality, consistency, and follow-through

What Success Looks Like (KPIs)

Consistent, high-quality social content across client accounts

Improved engagement, reach, growth, and account-specific KPIs

Social strategies aligned with each client’s goals and broader marketing strategy

Content calendars consistently planned and executed ahead of schedule

Strong organic and paid social performance with data-backed strategic adjustments

Regular new content ideas, tests, and creative concepts

Positive client feedback on social strategy, content, and communication

Measurable growth and development of Social Media Content Creators

Fewer recurring quality issues as the team’s skills improve

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience developing and leading social media strategy

Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and how strategy differs across platforms

Strong hands-on experience with paid social advertising, particularly Meta Ads

Experience managing targeting, budgets, creative testing, optimization, and paid social performance

Strong graphic design background and creative eye

Video editing experience, particularly short-form social content

Strong writing, content creation, and storytelling skills

Ability to analyze social media performance and turn data into action

Experience managing multiple accounts or campaigns

Ability to coach, train, and develop other social media professionals

Confidence leading client conversations

Creative, strategic, and idea-driven mindset

Strong organization, ownership, and follow-through

Ability to operate in a fast-paced agency environment

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field OR equivalent experience

Relevant industry certifications are a plus, including Meta Blueprint, TikTok Media Buying, Google Ads, HubSpot Social Media Marketing, or similar platform-specific certifications

Proficient with Google Suite and general technology
