Software Engineer - Backend

About the Role: We are hiring a Backend Developer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in building, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance software solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and MySQL, with a solid understanding of backend architecture, API development, database design, and software engineering best practices.

You will work closely with Product, Frontend, QA, and other Engineering teams to build reliable, secure, and scalable backend services that support business requirements and product growth.

Responsibilities

• •Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• •Scalable Architecture: Build scalable, high-performance, and maintainable software solutions that can support growing business and user requirements.
• •API Development: Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless communication between frontend applications and backend services.
• •Database Management: Develop and optimize MySQL database schemas, queries, indexes, and transactions to ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity.
• •Deployment & Release Management: Deploy backend applications across development, staging, and production environments, ensuring smooth and reliable releases.
• •Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and improve application response times, scalability, and resource utilization.
• •Security & Reliability: Implement appropriate security practices, input validation, authentication, authorization, and error-handling mechanisms.
• •Production Support: Monitor deployed applications, troubleshoot production issues, and implement fixes and improvements.
• •Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with frontend engineers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end software solutions.
• •Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with backend technologies, development frameworks, deployment practices, and engineering best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• •3–5 years of professional experience in backend software development.
• •Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript .
• •Proficiency in MySQL , including database design, query optimization, indexing, and transaction management.
• •Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• •Demonstrated experience building and deploying scalable software applications in production environments.
• •Good understanding of backend architecture, asynchronous programming, event-driven systems, and error handling.
• •Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.

Good to have:

• •Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• •Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
• •Experience with Redis, message queues, or event-driven architectures.
• •Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
