The intern will develop a comprehensive part-level sourcing intelligence model that classifies every part according to sourcing flexibility and supplier dependence.

Primary Questions to Answer

For every part:

  • Who owns the intellectual property?
  • Is the design proprietary to Accuray or to a supplier?
  • Is the part custom or commercially available?
  • Does specialized tooling exist?
  • What would be required to qualify an alternative supplier?
