Sourcing Merchandiser – Gamlaa Bioscapes

About the role

Own the sourcing and development of planters, outdoor accessories, décor and related hardgoods for Gamlaa's product range and client projects. You will work with design, sales and project teams on one side and manufacturers on the other.

Key responsibilities

  • Source and develop vendors and factories across metal, wood, ceramic, fibreglass and handicraft clusters
  • Run new product development: brief vendors, track samples through approval, and maintain the sample log.
  • Prepare cost sheets, negotiate prices, and meet target margins on catalogue and project items.
  • Maintain TNA calendars and weekly production trackers, and follow up to keep delivery on time.
  • Arrange product testing and pre-dispatch inspections, and raise quality issues early.
  • Run vendor compliance and audits.
  • Coordinate with project teams so material availability matches site timelines.
  • Maintain catalogues, price lists and presentations.
  • Handle ERP entries, purchase orders and, where needed, export or import documentation.
  • Plan assortment based on season, trends, corporate project requirements and online sales data

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline (design, engineering or supply chain preferred).
  • 4-8 years in merchandising or sourcing for furniture, hardgoods, home décor or handicrafts.
  • Strong costing and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of finishes, materials and basic quality standards.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, ERP, and basic Photoshop or CorelDraw.
