Senior Software Developer

As a Senior Software Developer reporting to Francesco Stradini and you'll play a critical role in delivering and continuously improving our Real-Time Clearing (RTC) platform — a product that supports clearinghouses with integrated position keeping, risk management, collateral management, and settlement capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex backend functionality, ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and resilience.

Improve the scalability, usability, and reliability of existing products across the full software lifecycle — from design and implementation through to deployment and continuous improvement.

Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions, helping shape how we build and evolve our systems.

Investigate production issues and help ensure the reliable operation of business-critical platforms.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teammates — including business analysts, testers, architects, and client representatives — to align on objectives and deliver outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Some years of professional experience developing backend applications in Java.

Proven ability to design and maintain reliable, scalable, and testable software throughout the product lifecycle.

Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative, structured, and ownership-driven approach.

Clear communicator with excellent written and spoken English, comfortable working in cross-functional, global environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of capital markets, including clearing, settlement, trading, or financial instruments.

Experience working with complex, distributed, and transaction-intensive systems.

Familiarity with build, delivery, and monitoring practices in a continuous delivery environment.
