Role Overview

A Microsoft SQL Server Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SQL Server databases that enables an organization's IT systems and services to run smoothly. This includes working with on-prem and cloud environments to ensure the organization's IT infrastructure is efficient, reliable, and scalable. Infrastructure engineers often work closely with software engineers, IT support teams, and system administrators to optimize performance, mitigate risks, and deliver high-quality services to end-users.

What will you do in this role

• •Develop automation for provisioning, patching and gold image releases of various SQL Server Database versions using Ansible Automation Platform.
• •Follow standard approaches and established design patterns to create automation. Apply agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result.
• •Carry out and improve system software development and maintenance tasks by updating the product design to automate routine tasks using standard tools and software development practices.
• •Participate in Product planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with Product goals.

What should you have

• •Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or any Technology.
• •3 to 6 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, Ansible.

Required Skills:

• •Primary skill- Microsoft SQL Server Database and Tools, Ansible Automation Platform, YAML, PowerShell scripting.
• •Secondary Skill- Windows Operating System, Active Directory, GitHub, Always on Availability Groups (AAG).
• •Backup: Experience database backup solutions (Commvault, Cohesity).
• •Cloud and Virtualization Platforms: Familiarity with cloud (AWS, Azure) platforms.
• •Scripting and Automation: Skills in ansible scripting, including complex ansible roles.
• •Security Best Practices: Familiarity with IT security practices and compliance.
• •Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Demonstrated ability to think independently and do basic troubleshooting without direction.
• •Product and customer-centric approach . A self-starter who will work with stakeholders and take ownership of issues.
