This is a high-impact, foundational leadership role reporting to the VP of Sales. You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of sales training and capability development for a novel CNS product that will require deep scientific fluency, nuanced patient and HCP engagement, and rigorous compliance. You will shape how our future sales organization and adjacent commercial field teams master the science, the patient journey, competitive differentiation, and the unique considerations of bringing a novel psychedelic therapy to market. Success in this role will directly influence launch readiness, field force excellence, and long-term commercial performance.
Location: Fully remote within the U.S., with frequent travel required. A significant portion of training delivery and team collaboration will occur at our Philadelphia office; therefore, candidates based in or near the Philadelphia area are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Design and lead a comprehensive sales training curriculum covering product knowledge, clinical data, disease-state education (GAD, MDD), competitive landscape, objection handling, account management, and compliant promotional practices
Build training programs tailored to the unique aspects of DT120 ODT, including administration considerations, clinical observation, patient selection, and the evolving regulatory and market access environment
Partner closely with Commercial Leadership, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Compliance, and Legal to ensure training content is scientifically accurate, strategically aligned, and fully compliant
Develop and deliver high-impact live, virtual, and digital training experiences for new-hire onboarding, ongoing skill development, launch readiness, and continuous learning— with substantial in-person delivery expected at the Philadelphia office and other locations as needed
Lead the sales training function, leveraging external partners and vendors as needed to deliver high-quality programs; establish best-in-class processes, tools, and metrics for training effectiveness and field capability
Create measurement frameworks to assess knowledge retention, behavioral change, and business impact; use data and field feedback to continuously refine programs
Support sales leadership in coaching frameworks, performance management, and the development of sales managers as trainers and coaches.
Drive a culture of excellence, curiosity, and patient-centricity across the commercial organization
Contribute to broader commercial readiness planning and serve as a key voice on field capability needs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, life sciences, education, or related) preferred
Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry within the commercial function, including but not limited to; sales training, sales excellence, and or commercial capability development
Experience in leading successful sales training initiatives, product launch initiatives, leadership development, curriculum design and training evaluation
Proven track record building or scaling training functions in specialty, CNS, psychiatry, or complex therapeutic areas required; experience with novel modalities, launch products, or highly regulated spaces is highly valued
Deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and modern training delivery methods (live, virtual, e-learning, simulations, role-play, etc.)
Experience in managing consultants and vendor relationships to ensure effective design and implementation of training solutions
Strong scientific acumen and ability to translate complex clinical data into compelling, compliant field narratives
Experience collaborating across Commercial, Medical, Access, and Compliance functions in a matrixed biotech or pharmaceutical environment
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills; ability to influence senior leaders and inspire field teams
Demonstrated success recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing teams
High integrity, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine passion for advancing mental health care
Comfortable with frequent travel and a hybrid delivery model that includes regular time in the Philadelphia office
Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location.

The starting base pay range for this position:
$250,000 — $280,000 USD
