The Launch team is seeking a qualified candidate to solve the complex challenges of progressive innovation to drive efficiencies at operational benchmark rates. We are looking for a customer-obsessed Program Manager with proven program management experience and a strong track record of delivering results to own and execute highly strategic launches, in addition to driving multiple complex projects across one or more programs.   • - Takes ownership and accountability for programs, while maintaining the ability to ask for help, and escalate issues and problems as necessary to keep programs on track;
  • - Is comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and operating in a rapidly evolving and changing landscape;
  • - Is willing to drive into the details and leverage high judgment and gut instinct;
  • - Communicates effectively to all stakeholders related to a launch or program/project.
  • - Are you deeply curious to learn local and international cultures, languages, engineering standards, vendor and business environments in 20 countries and 5 continents? This role involves traveling up to 50%.
  • A day in the life
  • - Effectively managing the Road to Launch process, which ultimately allows for a building hand-off that passes operational readiness testing and sets the operations team up for success;
  • - Managing day-to-day relationships with multiple Fulfillment Centers (FCs), Sort Centers (SCs), and Delivery Stations (AMZL);
  • - Coordinating GES and Operations stakeholders to exceed Amazon standards for the launch of new sites or expansions of existing buildings in order to achieve operational success;
  • - Deep diving existing processes to identify defects or opportunities for process improvements;
  • - Compiling, managing, and reporting on weekly project metrics;
  • - Driving multiple projects to optimize, standardize, and/or improve processes within and outside of launch.

Basic qualifications

  • - Bachelor's degree
  • - Experience in program or project management
  • - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • - Speak, write, and read fluently in English

Preferred qualifications

  • - Experience in driving process and tool improvements
  • - Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • - Speak, write, and read fluently in French, Spanish, German or Italian
  • - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural Engineering or equivalent field
  • - Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls
  • - French, German, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Chinese (Mandarin), Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications
