The Company
PayPal has been revolutionizing commerce globally for more than 25 years. Creating innovative experiences that make moving money, selling, and shopping simple, personalized, and secure, PayPal empowers consumers and businesses in approximately 200 markets to join and thrive in the global economy.
We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We help merchants and consumers connect, transact, and complete payments, whether they are online or in person. PayPal is more than a connection to third-party payment networks. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers.
We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards. Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.
Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day. We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do – and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.
Job Summary:
The Market RevOps Lead is an individual contributor who acts as the strategic RevOps business partner to the sales market leader and second-line managers. You are the person a sales leader thinks out loud with before committing to a coverage, quota or investment decision. You bring the assembled picture across compensation, planning, forecast and process, along with a point of view on what to do next.
Alongside your market, you will take on strategic projects that matter across IGM. A central operations and insights team and global owners build the models, definitions and standards. Your job is to make them work in markets they were not designed for and to carry those markets’ needs back into what they build.
IGM Markets span Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, and Latin America. You will be supporting a couple or more of key markets in Asia Pacific / Middle East along with running strategic projects that have an impact across IGM.
Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead complex projects to improve sales operations.
Analyze business trends to identify opportunities for process enhancements.
Implement new methods and procedures for special assignments.
Coordinate with global teams to ensure consistency in operations.
Mentor managers and provide guidance on project execution.
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications :
What you will do
In market , you will answer six questions for the market leader:
- What should we do about it? Be a thought partner. Frame the question before answering it, challenge the assumption underneath it, and bring options with a recommendation.
- Will we make the number? Establish the forecast and inspection cadence, hold the forecast at market leader level, and drive accountability down to the rep and first-line manager.
- Is the plan achievable? Translate revenue goals into coverage, territory, capacity and quota, and defend the outcome with sales leadership.
- Can we sell faster? Diagnose friction across the sales lifecycle, from lead handoff to contract signature, and push the fixes through global owners.
- Are we running it well? Run the market operating cadence and own QBR support, including the narrative, the decisions it asks for and the follow-through.
- Did it actually stick? Lead change and adoption in market, and aim enablement at gaps the performance data shows.
- You will also be the escalation point for complex deals and the link between sales, marketing, finance, risk and global teams.
Beyond the market , you will lead or co-lead strategic projects where your judgment and experience are most useful. These could be cross-market planning or compensation design questions, seller productivity, onboarding and risk process change, or whatever else IGM needs addressed. The balance between market work and project work will depend on the market you cover and on your strengths.
What you will bring
- Judgment. You form a view with incomplete information and are accountable for the call.
- Comfort with ambiguity. You structure the problem rather than wait for someone to hand you one.
- Thought partnership. Senior leaders seek you out, and you hold a view under pressure.
- Business-model fluency. You can hold a strategy conversation at market leader level without retreating to data.
- Influence without authority. Most of what you deliver is produced and adopted by people who do not report to you.
- Project leadership. You can scope an ambiguous problem, line up the right partners, and drive it to a result.
- Hands-on capability. You can build the model, work the data or draft the narrative yourself when a situation calls for it. It is not an everyday expectation, because most of the production work sits with the team around you.
- Executive presence. You are credible in the room and willing to disagree in it.
- Experience: 10+ years in sales strategy, revenue operations, finance business partnering or consulting, with exposure to compensation, planning and forecast.
