Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop applications on embedded Linux systems; maintain SDK build systems; and maintain selected device drivers.
  • Provide thorough technical support to customers worldwide so they can make full use of Ambarella solutions.
  • Collaborate with other teams on software development and prepare technical documentation for customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, the Linux kernel, and driver development.
  • Strong C programming skills, sound software engineering practices, and good coding habits.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Makefile, Shell, and Python.
  • Good understanding of embedded hardware and computer architecture.
  • Basic knowledge of video and audio fundamentals.
  • Preferred: Experience with the Yocto build system.
  • Preferred: Experience with Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes/K3s.
  • Preferred: Contributions to open-source communities.
  • Strong self-learning ability and willingness to dig into technical problems.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure; clear communication; ability to plan and prioritize work; and strong teamwork.
