ARCO/Murray National Construction is currently seeking a Structural BIM Modeler to join our team of Design Engineers and Project Managers in our Downers Grove, IL location. The Structural BIM Modeler will play a key role in guiding the delivery of our schematic through construction ready information using REVIT, Tekla, and internally developed tools and processes in a Design/Build environment.

A Day in the Life:

Develop structural design information using Revit, Tekla, and Bluebeam software applications.

Create conceptual to construction ready structural models based on guidance from engineering staff and coordination with other designers.

Perform preliminary structural system layout based on engineering team guidance and your experience.

Develop details to properly articulate complex structural conditions.

Develop and check complete drawing packages for permit submission.

Manage and incorporate electronic markups from engineering team into structural deliverables.

Collaborate with Project Management, Construction, and Engineering team members in cross-functional settings to ensure that the design is accurate and that contract responsibilities are met according to client's expectations.

Apply basic knowledge of building codes, standards, and other criteria in the development of project designs.

Necessary Qualifications:

Associate’s degree (AA) Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or similar technical degree

1-3 years of BIM Modeling in Commercial Industrial, Manufacturing, and similar project types

Motivated self-starter that focuses on details and quality

Working knowledge of Revit

Experience using Revit for permit level document creation is a plus.

Experience with Tekla fabrication modeling is a plus.

Coding language (C#, VBA, Python) experience and interest is a plus.
