We're building a substitute teacher pool for our entire network. About the Role

As a substitute teacher, you'll help create a classroom environment where students can grow intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially. You'll work within our co-teach model, supporting two intervention specialists who lead the classroom, and help carry out instruction in line with Julie Billiart School and Diocese of Cleveland policies.

Responsibilities

• •Deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning, using varied materials and resources
• •Implement lesson plans and schemes of work created by the classroom teacher
• •Establish and communicate clear objectives for learning activities
• •Prepare the classroom for daily activities
• •Select instructional resources and methods — including relevant technology — to meet students' varying needs
• •Instruct and monitor students' use of learning materials and equipment
• •Assign and give feedback on student work
• •Maintain accurate records of student progress
• •Other duties as needed

Requirements

• •Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related field
• •Professional certification or license preferred
• •Skilled in differentiated instruction
• •Strong verbal and written communication skills
• •Able to work independently and as part of a team
• •Comfortable communicating with parents and colleagues
• •Flexible, adaptable, and able to think on your feet
• •Enthusiastic, driven, and self-motivated
