Summary
You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the Comptroller Department (PERS-5) of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND.
Duties
- You will create spreadsheets that effectively calculate and forecast data.
- You will provide responsive and thorough answers to customers questions.
- You will prepare detailed analytical justifications and interpret complex budgetary policies to demonstrate regulatory compliance and support management review.
- You will review financial reports and accounting data to identify systemic control deficiencies and determines the appropriate corrective actions required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Manages the Federal Budget process, Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES) cycles for the organization; 2) Evaluates complex legislation, policy and regulatory decisions concerning accounting, funds distribution, and civilian labor funding; 3) Performs detailed financial and accounting analysis; 4) Communicates effectively with customers; and 5) Presents financial reports, issue papers, and budget submits to leadership Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
