Our Deer Park, NY team oversees approximately $1.2 billion in client assets under management (AUM) and serves a sophisticated clientele of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. We provide customized investment management, retirement planning, tax-efficient strategies, estate planning guidance, and comprehensive wealth planning solutions. As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a talented and motivated professional to join our team and play a key role in supporting our advisors, clients, and investment operations.

Position Summary

The Trader & Portfolio Operations Analyst will play an integral role in supporting the firm's investment and operational functions. This individual will be responsible for executing trades, rebalancing portfolios, maintaining portfolio management systems, generating business analytics, and contributing to operational excellence across the practice.

The ideal candidate combines strong trading and portfolio management expertise with analytical skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

This is a Onsite position.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 , exclusive of bonuses and benefits. Key Job Functions

Trading & Portfolio Management

  • Execute equity, fixed income, mutual fund, and ETF trades across client portfolios.
  • Rebalance portfolios in accordance with investment models and advisor recommendations.
  • Monitor asset allocation drift and implement portfolio changes as needed.
  • Assist with tax-conscious trading strategies and portfolio transitions.
  • Review and reconcile trading activity to ensure accuracy and best execution.
  • Ensure all trading activities comply with firm policies and regulatory requirements.

Portfolio Systems & Custodial Platforms

  • Maintain proficiency and daily utilization of:
  • Orion Eclipse
  • Charles Schwab Advisor Services
  • Fidelity Institutional
  • Pershing
  • Support account maintenance and operational workflows across custodial platforms.
  • Assist with account transfers, cash management requests, and operational servicing.
  • Troubleshoot account and trading-related issues and discrepancies.

Data Analysis & Business Reporting

  • Analyze and report on:
  • Assets Under Management (AUM)
  • Revenue trends
  • Commission activity
  • Client profitability
  • Advisor productivity metrics
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to support management decision-making.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
  • Assist leadership with forecasting, planning, and strategic initiatives.

Operations & Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements across trading and operational functions.
  • Support technology integrations and platform enhancements.
  • Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with advisors and staff to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • FINRA Series 7 License Required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in trading, portfolio operations, or wealth management.
  • Hands-on experience with Orion Eclipse.
  • Working knowledge of Schwab, Fidelity, and Pershing custodial platforms.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Series 66 license or equivalent registration.
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Experience with portfolio reporting and business intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with CRM and wealth management technology platforms.

Compensation & Benefits

WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state, pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. The base salary grade for those who are classified as this level is $57,750.00 to $126,000.00. The Trader & Portfolio Operations Analyst role is compensated through a combination of base salary and variable pay, with total compensation aligned to performance metrics and company goals.
