Job Description:

Treasury Manager, Cash Management

PLANNED SEPARATION: Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate its Orthopedics business to establish a standalone company operating as DePuy Synthes. Completion is anticipated within 12 to 18 months, subject to applicable legal requirements, consultations, regulatory approvals, and customary conditions. Following completion, the successful candidate is anticipated to become a DePuy Synthes employee governed by its employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans.

The Opportunity

DePuy Synthes is seeking a Treasury Manager, Banking, Payments & Cash Management to help build and operate the cash and banking infrastructure of a global, standalone orthopedics company. Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, this role will lead cash operations, payments, short-term liquidity forecasting, bank-account governance, Kyriba optimization, controls, and regional bank relationships. The role combines hands-on ownership, transformation leadership, and development of a small team.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Positioning, Liquidity and Forecasting

· Own daily cash positioning and short-term liquidity management, ensuring sufficient funds for operational, tax, payroll, and debt-service requirements.

· Lead the regional cash forecast, variance analysis, and forecast governance; partner with FP&A, Tax, Accounting, Shared Services, and business finance teams to improve accuracy and visibility.

· Optimize cash concentration, pooling, sweeping, and intercompany funding structures; identify trapped or idle cash and coordinate funding requirements with Corporate Finance.

· Develop liquidity dashboards, scenarios, and early-warning indicators to support management decisions and business continuity.

Payments and Treasury Operations

· Oversee high-value and time-critical treasury payments, including wires, ACH, and cross-border transfers, with appropriate approvals, segregation of duties, cut-off management, and evidence retention.

· Manage payment exceptions, rejected transactions, bank-file failures, bank reconciliations, and aged cash-account items; drive timely root-cause remediation.

· Own bank-account governance and maintenance of a complete account inventory.

· Manage relationship banks and cash-management providers, including service performance, pricing, issue escalation, account structures, bank fees, and business reviews.

· Act as business owner for Kyriba cash, banking, payments, connectivity, forecasting, and reporting; drive integration, data-quality, workflow, testing, and automation improvements.

· Partner with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax, Accounting, Legal, Cybersecurity, Shared Services, and regional Finance to strengthen end-to-end processes and service continuity.

Risk and Controls

· Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX controls, banking requirements, and applicable payment and regulatory obligations.

· Lead periodic reviews of bank accounts, signers, users, payment templates, and controls; coordinate remediation with Compliance, Technology, Internal Audit, external auditors, and process owners.

· Define and monitor KPIs covering forecast accuracy, visible cash, payment exceptions, bank fees, connectivity, reconciliation aging, and control performance.

People Leadership and Transformation

· Lead, coach, and develop 1-2 Treasury Analysts; set priorities, review work product, and build a culture of ownership, service, and continuous improvement.

· Lead banking migrations, account transitions, connectivity changes, testing, cutover, and stabilization required for separation readiness and other transformations.

· Prepare concise, decision-oriented updates for the Assistant Treasurer, Treasurer, senior Finance leadership, and governance forums.

Experience and Skills

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.

· At least 5 years of progressive experience in corporate treasury, cash management, banking operations, payments, treasury technology, or a related field, preferably in a multinational environment.

· Hands-on experience with cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, bank-account administration, payments, banking relationships, reconciliations, and treasury controls.

· Deep working knowledge of Kyriba, including cash management, bank connectivity, payment workflows, forecasting, reporting, and system enhancements.

· Understanding of payment rails, electronic banking security, fraud prevention, SOX controls, segregation of duties, and operational-risk management.

· Strong analytical, communication, project-leadership, and stakeholder-management skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

· People leadership or meaningful experience coaching junior professionals; sound judgement, integrity, attention to detail, and an ownership mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

· Master's degree, MBA, CTP, CMA, ACT qualification, or another relevant credential.

· Experience with Kyriba implementation, SWIFT or host-to-host connectivity, ERP integration or treasury transformation.

· Experience in medical devices, healthcare, manufacturing, or another global, regulated industry.
