Vehicle Mechanic
Reports To: Shop Foreman
Department: Vehicle Maintenance
Status: Part-Time Seasonal (Winter 2026/2027)
Requires a minimum commitment of 8 hours on Sundays. Additional hours may be available.
Date: 10/6/2026
Wage Range: $24 - $27 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Vehicle Mechanic troubleshoots and repairs snow grooming equipment, snowmobiles, UTVs, ATVs, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, busses, trucks, generators, and small engine equipment. Performs daily/weekly/monthly checks, assists with maintaining documentation and checking on completion of daily logs for passenger vans and busses. Plows snow and sands roads and parking lots. Assists with snowmaking operations as needed.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment as assigned by foreman.
- Troubleshoot issues on equipment and research fixes.
- Communicate parts and supply needs to foreman.
- Plow snow and sand parking lots as needed.
- Check on daily vehicle checks log for passenger vans.
- Assist other mountain operations departments as needed (lift maintenance, snowmaking, lift operations, grooming)
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a positive, professional role model, adhering to the company’s hospitality standards.
- Maintain an exceptional level of guest service in all interaction with guests, fellow employees, and management.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Talking to others to convey information effectively.

- Speak, read, write in English fluently.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license with ability to pass MVR check is required; current CDL license preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Two (2) years of snowcat/heavy equipment maintenance experience preferred.
- Ownership of hand tools to perform maintenance on a variety of equipment is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently and lift more with assistance.
- Dexterity and gripping ability for utilizing hand tools.
- Walking, standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, pulling, crawling, climbing ladders.
- Verbal and auditory abilities necessary for communication with others.
- Ability to work in high alpine environment including extreme winter weather conditions.

Granby Ranch is located in Granby, Colorado (90 miles northwest of Denver) and all jobs are performed on site. Employee housing is available for full-time seasonal and year-round employees. This is a part-time position which does not qualify for employee housing.
