Video Editor
The Video Editor is responsible for editing and assembling recorded video footage, applying creative and technical skills to enhance visual storytelling, incorporate special effects and graphics, and deliver polished, engaging final videos.
Responsibilities
Editing
Edit and assemble recorded raw material into polished, finished videos.
Ensure visual and audio continuity, smooth transitions, and compelling storytelling.
Pre-Production
Collaborate with videographers to ensure footage meets quality and technical standards.
Post-Production
Select appropriate footage and incorporate effects, motion graphics, and sound design to enhance the final output.
Asset Management
Store, organize, and maintain all video-related materials and project resources.
Quality Control
Perform detailed checks to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and visual appeal.
Client Satisfaction
Adhere to brand guidelines and client requirements.
Incorporate feedback and implement revisions to meet or exceed expectations.
Experience Required
- Minimum 1 year of video editing experience , with proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve .
- Ability to work with multiple video formats and deliver broadcast-ready or digital-first content.
- Agency experience preferred , with exposure to working across multiple brands, fast turnaround timelines, and client-driven creative revisions.
- Strong editing portfolio showcasing a range of content including studio footage, stock-based edits, social media videos, and promotional content.
Academics & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional certification.
- Completion of video editing courses is an added advantage.
- Participation in videography or editing contests is a plus.
Skill Set
- Proficiency in video editing software
- Creative storytelling and visual composition
- Openness to feedback and iteration
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Time management and organizational abilities
- Adaptability and problem-solving mindset
- Understanding of video production workflows
- Artistic vision and attention to detail
- Added experience in graphic designing , adobe illustrator and Photoshop.
