Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations

● Manage day-to-day warehouse activities including inbound, storage, picking, packing, and

dispatch.

● Ensure optimal space utilization and warehouse layout planning.

● Monitor inventory accuracy and minimize shrinkage/pilferage.

● Drive adherence to SLAs for order processing and dispatch timelines.

● Implement and maintain warehouse SOPs and process controls.

Inventory Management

● Maintain accurate stock records in WMS/ERP systems.

● Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical audits.

● Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

● Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance where applicable

.

Team Management

● Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff and supervisors.

● Plan manpower allocation and shift rosters.

● Drive productivity, discipline, and performance management.

● Build a strong safety-fi rst and ownership culture on the floor.

Process Improvement & Reporting

● Track key warehouse KPIs (fi ll rate, TAT, productivity, accuracy, etc.).

● Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

● Share daily/weekly/monthly MIS with stakeholders.

● Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams.

Compliance & Safety

● Ensure adherence to safety norms, statutory compliance, and audit readiness.

● Maintain housekeeping standards (5S).

● Oversee vendor and transporter compliance within the warehouse

.

Key Requirements

Education:

● Graduate in any discipline (Supply Chain/Operations preferred)

Experience:

● 5–10 years of warehouse/logistics experience

● At least 2–3 years in a team handling role

● Experience in FMCG, e-commerce, retail, or manufacturing preferred

Skills & Competencies:

● Strong knowledge of ERP systems

● Good analytical and Excel skills

● People management and confl ict resolution

● Process orientation and problem-solving mindset

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Success Metrics (KPIs)

● Inventory accuracy %

● Order dispatch TAT

● Warehouse productivity per FTE

● Shrinkage/pilferage levels

● Safety and audit compliance scores
