Teilzeit mit 75,00 Prozent der regelmäßigen Arbeitszeit einer/eines Vollzeitbeschäftigten. Die Stelle ist zunächst für 3 Jahre befristet mit der Möglichkeit der Verlängerung um weitere 2 Jahre (Qualifikationsstelle gem. § 72 HessHG i. V § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). Die Möglichkeit zur Promotion ist gegeben.

Aufgaben:

  • Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeit in Forschung und Lehre im Fachgebiet Angewandte Mathematik
  • Durchführung von Lehrveranstaltung in deutscher und englischer Sprache
  • Selbständige Bearbeitung eines Forschungsteilgebietes in der numerischen Analysis zur Beantwortung praxisrelevanter Problemstellungen aus dem Bereich der Strömungsmechanik. Hierbei sollen positivitätserhaltende, konservative Verfahren vom Patankar-Typ im Kontext partieller Differentialgleichungen entwickelt und analysiert werden.

Voraussetzungen:

  • Mit sehr gutem Erfolg abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium der Mathematik mit Bezug zur Angewandten Mathematik. Der geforderte Abschluss muss spätestens zum Einstellungstermin vorliegen
  • Sprachkenntnisse in Deutsch und Englisch mindestens auf B2-Niveau

Von Vorteil sind:

Tiefgehende Kenntnisse im Bereich der Numerik gewöhnlicher und partieller Differentialgleichungen.
