Summary
About the Position: Serve as a senior management analyst responsible for performing studies of complex problems involving prospective major changes to Criminal Investigative Division (CID) operations, structure, force development plans, stationing, and equipping.
Duties
- Conduct formal manpower studies, evaluate organizational efficiency, and validate civilian and military authorizations.
- Manage career path development, design organizational charts, coordinate force design updates, and manage structural changes within the agency.
- Utilize analytical methods to determine direct impacts on the agency’s force structure, personnel footprints, and long-term capability planning.
- Present complex technical data, structure changes, and policy justifications clearly to senior military and civilian leaders.
- Conduct detailed analysis of complex functions and work processes including past, present, and programmed operations.
- Input and retrieve data using established databases and systems for the purpose of tracking, clarifying, and updating the force structure.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes executing complex military personnel management programs and force readiness initiatives; analyzing staffing requirements utilizing enterprise databases to provide authoritative policy guidance to command leaders; and coordinating multi-echelon administrative actions and workforce plans to ensure organizational alignment and regulatory compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
