We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented student to help plan our upcoming events and make our event programs easier to scale. Our Events team plans and runs the trade shows, customer events, and corporate events that bring us together with retailers, partners, and customers. You'll source venues, help build a budget tracker and track spending against budget across events, support day-to-day logistics, and own projects that our attendees, Sales team, and Channel partners will use directly.
What You’ll Work On:
Signature project – Event Toolkit: Audit existing event materials, gather attendee and staff feedback, and build a self-service toolkit (checklists, guides, templates, approved materials) for regional teams, Sales, and Channel partners to run their own events.
Auditing existing materials (intern-project): Review existing communication materials, gather feedback from attendees and event staff, and help deliver reusable resources that can be scaled across trade shows, customer events, and corporate events.
Venue sourcing: Research venues for upcoming events, request proposals, and compare options on location, capacity, cost, and contract terms. Gather proposals and options for the team’s review.
Event budgeting: Help build a budget tracker and track spending against budget across events
Onsite support: Assist with event setup, registration, attendee check-in, and breakdown, and serve as a point of contact for vendors and guests, which may involve local travel and occasional evening or weekend hours
Planning and logistics: Support the events team with day-to-day event tactics including timelines, deliverables, registrations, staffing schedules, run-of-show documents, and onsite support where needed.
Post-event reporting: Starting with 2027 NRF recap; compile attendance, leads captured, survey feedback, and spend versus budget, and help prepare recap reports for manager review.
Required Qualifications:
Must be able to work on-site at our Durham, NC headquarters at least one day per week; two days in-person preferred
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field.

High level of curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to take ownership of projects from start to finish.
Experience using Microsoft Excel, including building trackers and budgets.
Preferred Qualifications:
