Revenue Management Specialist - RN - Days
Under the supervision of a very supportive and energetic Manager, utilize your medical knowledge to provide concurrent or retrospective clinical information required for reimbursement. Manage denials from third party payers within required timeframes. Focus on reviewing medical necessity based off of authorization from precertification. Monitor all incoming correspondence and end of day reports to insure accuracy and authorizations. Play an integral part of the hospital wide 2-Midnight Stay initiative. All one and two day stays are reviewed for appropriate setting and converted accordingly.
Preferred Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of 3 years of hospital experience in case management or acute care
- Experience with EMR systems or EPIC
Required Criteria
- New York State License as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience or denial management experience
