  • We are hiring a Workplace Manager to own the day-to-day operations of our Houston office, be a resource for our Houston pilot plant, and remotely support our Ann Arbor satellite office as needed. You will create an engaging, welcoming, safe, and well-run on-site environment where our team can do its best work.
  • As our Workplace Manager, you will be the go-to person for everything that keeps the office running smoothly, from facilities and vendors to safety, supplies, and visitors. You will manage the workplace budget for your site, build the processes and systems that help the space scale as we grow, and make sure every employee and guest has a great experience on site. This is a highly visible, hands-on role with the autonomy to improve how our workplace operates. You will partner closely with teams across the company and report to the Global Workplace Director.

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Houston office, including facilities, maintenance, cleanliness, and supplies, providing workplace support to the Houston pilot plant and Ann Arbor office as needed
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for building management and service vendors, and manage contracts and service levels
  • Plan and manage the workplace budget, tracking spend and finding cost-saving opportunities
  • Maintain a safe and compliant workplace, including emergency procedures, safety walkthroughs, and incident follow-up
  • Manage office access, security, and visitor experience, including badging and guest check-in
  • Coordinate space planning, furniture, and moves, and prepare the office for new hires
  • Plan and run company events, meals, and on-site gatherings that build culture and collaboration
  • Respond to employee workplace requests quickly and track them to resolution
  • Occasional travel to our project site in East Texas to support workplace needs
  • Identify and automate repetitive workplace tasks, and document processes so the office scales with the company
  • Partner with IT, People, Finance, and leadership on workplace needs and company-wide initiatives
  • Desired Qualifications
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in workplace, facilities, or office operations
  • Experience coordinating vendors and managing contracts and budgets
  • Working knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and building operations
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear, professional communication and a service-oriented mindset with employees at all levels
  • Proactive, resourceful problem solver who takes ownership and follows through
  • Comfortable with technology and workplace tools (for example, ticketing, scheduling, or visitor management systems)
  • Ability to work on-site in Houston, with flexibility for occasional events outside regular hours and occasional travel to East Texas
  • Ability to comfortably lift up to 35 lbs
